Beautiful May

Flowers from our garden.

Mohawk baby on Memorial Day :)

The girls, goofin' around.

All of us were so tired after a long day in the sun and water.

Jay has begun the Great Dismantling! He will show no mercy; our bathroom will never be the same.

Testing out her fish hat :)

All ready for the parade with Hanna. It passed right in front of our house!

April Showers Bring May Baths?

Eden is now obsessed with baths. Can't say that I blame her. Every night she wants nothing more than to sit and soak in the tub and yell at the ducks as they "swim" away from her. To add insult to injury her mom sings "Slip Sliding Away" as she slips along the bottom of the tub, further and further away from her beloved ducks. But does she really mind? She talks a good game, but I can see that she's having a ball.
(although the duck says "Hot" I can assure you, the water is perfect . . . )
After a while you can see the monster come out of Eden :)
And of course her two favorite furry creatures help welcome her back to dry land after her fantastic voyage.

Our Place in the Sun . . .
Finally, the sun has broken through our long winter and everything is green. Eden is amazed at the sights and sounds outside . . . and each night before bed, we climb the stairs and wash off the deep green grass stains on her knees, hands, and clothes.

Eden is so happy just to lay in the grass. You can see though, Ozma can't wait till she has someone to chase other than her own tail. The two buddies.
Life is so beautiful :)
"Planet Eden"!
Suddenly she has teeth! Two of them, in fact! And boy does she love to chomp with them, which is very well indeed, because that is what teeth are meant for :)
Here she is getting ready for a sprint, or so one could imagine . . . she ends up very frustrated at the slowness of crawling and yells in annoyance. Soon enough she will be running around our house like a windstorm!

With her increased mobility, Eden has decided to spend a large portion of her day honing her hunting skills . . . Poor Ozma doesn't quite know what to think of having gone from the hunter to the hunted. "Here you can see Eden, (in her natural habitat) stalking her prey. Having been discovered, she attempts to remain as still as possible until the creature returns to its grazing and can be pounced upon." (We have been watching a lot of the Discovery Channel)

However, the beasts must be caged before there is true bloodshed. Ozma, like the blue-footed booby, is far too tame and will continually let Eden pull out her tail hair. Despite all of our imploring, Ozma will not run from Eden; even after a severe beating! Hmmmm . . . strange dog. Here you can see that even after being seperated, the two are drawn to each other through the bars. Eden first learned to stand up because of her desire to get near the dog. In fact, she will furiously shake the bars of the gate to try to get to her beloved Ozma.
