Door County: Episode 2

Here are some more pictures from our week up in Door County. This is a only a little less than half of the entire group that was up there.

Wide-eyed and beautiful in the morning.
Grandma feeding her in the swing . . . what a lucky little girl to have such attentive relatives.
Not a morning person. Don't let this picture deceive. She and Izzy got along famously :)

A typical day, spent mostly in the water!

Some pictures from the Farm: The sheep were very friendly . . . Eden wasn't quite sure about them . . . she pulled her legs in closer, quite suspiciously.

Baby chicks: she loved these tiny creatures . . . no danger of losing fingers in their mouths :)

Baby goats: if I hadn't been there to hold her down, she would have climbed into that pen quicker than you can blink.

A HUGE Brahma cow. And she seems fairly unenthused . . . Of course she wasn't allowed to touch it, so that changes things a bit.

After all that, a little sleep is unavoidable.

Door County: Episode 1

Since our week at the cottage was filled with so many wonderful moments, I'm afraid that I am going to have to create two blogs to contain all of the photos.
I find that when talking about Door County, words don't come as readily as I would like. The whole time up there is a blurr of happiness, so I will merely refer to the pictures one at a time rather than synopsize the whole week.
Eden had a blast with her grandparents . . . and they with her. Slight family resemblance, wouldn't you say?

Eden, with her Grandma . . . check out the camo shorts!

I got Eden in the lake and she loved it! (Despite the strange face in this picture . . . )

We went to "The Farm" and Eden got to pet all sorts of creatures . . . goats, sheep, cows, horses, cats, chicks, piglets . . . but the bunnies were behind bars. Eden was entranced nonetheless.
Us on the beach, enjoying a roaring fire. (I'm the third from the right)

Izzy Patch and me, hangin' out at sunset . . . she was Eden's constant companion . . . Her conversation with her dad upon first meeting Eden:
Izzy: "That kid's going to be my friend"
Uncle Bill: "What's that kid's name?"
Izzy: Looking at me across the room, mouthing the words, "What's her name?"
Me: mouthing back, "Eden"
Izzy: to her dad, "Edo"
And now, she is called "Edo" by the Patches :) very cute.

Despite Jay claiming he was still home, we managed to capture this picture of us together. Does this prove that Jay is capable of bi-location? You be the judge.
