How to Survive a Day with Eden

Expect Monster attacks at every turn. She shows no mercy.

Be prepared for her disappointment if you don't seem sufficiently frightened. This will be an extreme test of your acting skills seeing as her fangs haven't grown in yet, nor has her growl deepened to an adequately terrifying level.

Water breaks are essential. Cuteness of this degree really works up a sweat.

No dangly earrings. Unless you want your ears stretched . . . alot.

"Hide and Seek" is a must. Just a hint, (she's behind the curtain). She really doesn't like the hiding part, she just likes to be found.

Patty Cake: a very important new game.

Be adventurous with your eating habits.

Don't take it personally if she reaches her breaking point . . . it can be tough being a baby.

All she needs is a nap, and she's as good as new!

Busy Summer . . .

It has been almost one month since our last post!
I can hardly believe how fast time is moving!
Having a little baby around makes everything go at a faster rate.
Our little girl has grown by leaps and bounds.
She now fits into her first pair of jeans!
In addition to her physical growth,
she now has a whole new bag of tricks.
She waves hello to people when she
remembers and isn't too distracted.
But she always waves hello to the boats that she
sees on the lake and shouts "Hi" as they pass by.
She shows us how big she is by stretching
her arms up when we say "so big!".
My favorite thing that she has revealed
to us is her fabulous acting skills :)
When asked; "Are you ok, Eden?"
She will cough and cough and look forlorn,
and then smile after we applaud the believability
of her "sick" act.
Definitely the child of two actors, huh?!

Jay, his dad, and brother Jeff just got back from a camping trip out to Indian Lake, which is in the Adirondacks. They had tons of fun, and have promised that both Eden and I can come next year. After seeing the pictures, I am looking forward to joining the tradition :)

Soon Eden and I will be flying out to Wisconsin to join the family up at the cottage, and help my cousin Nell with wedding plans. We can't wait to see everyone out there! Jay will be joining us sometime in August, so we will all get to enjoy the beauties of Wisconsin and the warmth of our huge family!
