Hanging with the New Little Man
Recently, Nem and I took a little trip to Wisconsin and spent a week taking care of the newest addition to the family. It was wonderful hanging out with Nick and Mercedes and so exciting to be meeting Corben. Nemmers made sure to verify that he was not a baby doll, but a real live baby. (Who Nem just couldn't keep her hands off . . . she thought he was the funniest thing!)We got to see Grandpa, Grandma and Uncles Rob and Jord very briefly . . . But as always, we wished we could have spent more time with them. Meanwhile, back in New York, Eden had fun with her dad and relaxed in the sun, awaiting our return.Of course, Ozma got plenty of cuddles too :)

"It's all happening at the Zoo"

One day, we didn't go to the beach. Instead we went to the zoo! Eden had fun exploring the jungle-like terrain with her Papa.

Who gave her a ride when she needed a rest.

Later, with her Nana, she watched the lions eat. Nem hung out too, but for some reason, hardly noticed the humongous cats. It was just another day of business as usual for Nem.
Eden waited so patiently in the hot sun for a boat ride around the monkey islands.
Nem got to wait in the shade.Check out these trees! And these! They look like mummies!How cool to walk down a lane lined with palm trees!
And check this out . . . tropical/jungle trees are truly amazing.
Eden thought they were pretty impressive as well :) This is a Staghorn Fern . . . the whole tree was filled with them. (Dad, this is what yours could look like! Crazy huh?!)

Our Days on the Beach!

We just got back from visiting the girls' Nana and Papa down in Florida. We had an amazing time and spent nearly every day on the beach!

Eden and her Dad spent hours digging, sifting and scanning the beach for the perfect shells.
Resting from the search, Jay hung out and laughed with Nem.

Being as amazingly white as I am, I hung out in the shade enjoying the ocean breeze, the sand between my toes and the company of a cute baby.

Then I brought the shade with me, sporting a nice big hat, and splashed around in the water with Nemmers. She actually really enjoyed it, however, moments before this picture was taken a rather large wave had surprised her and splashed up into her face :)

The girls really worked up an appetite with all that time in the sun, so Eden shared her snacks with Nemmie.
Then it was back to work. She even enlisted her Papa in the big dig.
But even after he had his fill of digging in the sand, Eden was still working away! She loved the sand!
That night, at dinner, Eden was so exhausted that she passed out at the table right in her Papa's arms!

We wish we could have stayed much longer. It looks like we have beach-lovin' babies!
