Fall Fun . . . in the Sun!

This fall we had such amazing weather. It is so fun to watch the girls explore their world; and in their discoveries, I rediscover what fun can be had even in our own backyard.
It's nice to start the day off with a big daddy hug!

Eden in "Spy" mode.

Action-Adventure Nemmie!

Nemmie and Eden . . . they are getting along better every day :)

Eden is getting so strong, she loved dragging Nem around the yard in the wagon. It helped that Nemmers was quite appreciative and shouted out "WoooooHooooo" as she rolled along :)

Exhausted!

Of course when the sun stops shining there is nothing like sitting down with Papa and reading a book!

Fall: cont'd

Believe it or not, my mom came and visited for two weeks in October . . . and the only picture I have to show for it is this one . . . I'm getting so horrible about taking pictures! It was so much easier when it was just baby Eden, things moved slowly and she certainly didn't try to take over the job as photographer. But these days getting the camera out means chasing kids, getting smiles, (or at least open eyes), and keeping the camera out of the clutches of Nemmers, who insists on overseeing the entire process :) Ahh well.

As you can see, we had sun and enjoyed every moment we could outside. Having my mom here was amazing and I hope she had as much fun as we did. Eden still creeps up to third floor sometimes "just to check" and see if Grandma is back.

We all tried on the hats that she made for us . . . getting ready for colder weather.

Airplane rides in the sun!

Eleanor's Birthday!

The week after apple picking, we had even more visitors! My cousin and Eden's godmother, Eleanor, came to visit with her husband, Jacob. We had so much fun with them. It was wonderful to get a chance to get to know Jacob better; and the girls particularly liked having a couple of new playmates for a bit. We even got to celebrate Eleanor's birthday with her! If you want a far better description of the visit just check out this link:

I wish I had taken more pictures . . . but I guess Eleanor and Jacob will have to visit again :)
Apple Picking
Towards the end of September, my cousins Julia and Tricia came up with little Tristan and we all headed off to the nearest apple orchard.
Eden and Tristan had so much fun together and decided that pumpkins were most likely grown to provide them with comfy seating.
These wooden chairs worked alright as well, but they weren't nearly as diverting.
Nemmers got into the spirit of the pumpkin sitting as well . . . in this picture she seems to say, "Come with me if you want to live"
As Tristan found out, the best technique for a proper pumpkin sit is to have a spotter always at hand.
There were apples at the orchard as well. By the end of the day that wheelbarrow was no longer filled with diaper bags and children, but with apples! Apple weather really is the best weather for cuddles. Oh yeah, and we ate a lot of apples too!The apples seem to have given Tristan super strength! It was a beautiful day, and I still have apples left!

First Day of School!
In the beginning of September, Eden started a Montessori program.
She was so excited for her first day of school and continues to love every moment of it. Our walls are quickly filling up with the school projects that she brings home every day.
Nem, was initially suspicious of Eden's daily absences. But she has quickly learned to love the short few hours where I am all hers. I quite like the extra cuddles I get too :)

Eden: A Lesson in
What to Wear and How
1. Accessories and Layers . . . you can never have too many of either. 2. The flapper look is always in. Also, try to avoid direct eye contact with cameras . . . it will make you look mysterious.
3. Pink is appropriate in any situation including when imitating wild monsters lurking in the darkest of jungles.
4. Any outfit can go from "blah" to amazing with the cunning use of goofy faces!
5. Flapper style + goofy face = perfection
6. When all else fails, stick some flowers in your hair.

Wisconsin in the Summer
Well, I'm back on the blog train! It has been quite a while, so I might as well start right where we left off. In August we went out to Wisconsin to visit with my side of the family. Thankfully this time we were able to get down to see my Grandma and Grandpa Wolff. After the long car ride, Eden just wanted to snuggle with Grandma Jensen.
I got to show Eden some of the wonderful places to run and play at their house, and it was really great to see my Grandparents again. I think the last time I saw them was when Eden was 4 months old! Here are four generations! Grandma and Grandpa Wolff, Grandma Jensen, Nemmers, Corben, Eden and me.
Grandma and Grandpa Jensen decided to give Eden her birthday present early and she couldn't have loved it more!
Well, maybe if it had been Corben :) She loved that boy so much!
Babies everywhere! It was nice to have all three of the Jensen grandkids together. We all had fun juggling the little ones, each at a different phase, so it kept us laughing and on our toes.
I think Rob found a kindred spirit. And Jord had a blast playing around with Nem too.
Nemmie even got in some quality relaxing with Grandpa Jensen.
Not to say Eden didn't have fun too. That girl was just way to fast for my camera! Ahh, and here, our bathing beauties smiling for the camera. (The water was beautiful!)
While we were up in Door County, we took a trip to The Farm with the Kearneys. Eden loved the little animals: the kittens, the chicks, and the baby goats and sheep.
Nemmie, ever suspicious, didn't like any of the animals to get too close. Yes, this is a picture of Nem kicking a goat in the face! It seemed to think she was offering her shoe up as food and didn't seem to mind the abuse. Thankfully neither goat nor shoe were harmed in the taking of this picture.
After our week at the cottage, Nem and I stayed an extra week and hung out with Grandma and Grandpa Jensen and Uncles Rob and Jord. I seem to have very few pictures of anyone other than Nem, (looking cute of course), but still, wish I would have taken a few more pictures of her with her Grandparents or Uncles.
We took some wonderful walks at the Abby, one of my favorite places to relax when I lived in Wisconsin. Nem and I sat under the willow trees and played and laughed alot.
It was a beautiful trip!

Disney and a Wedding!
Earlier this month we went down to Disney World to attend a wonderful wedding! We had so much fun! It was the girls and my first time at Disney . . . I don't know if Eden or I was more excited to go! Here she is, we had just arrived at our hotel and she was so happy that Mickey Mouse was in her room . . . little did she know how much more there was to see!
Here we are at the Magic Kingdom, the first park that we visited. The girls were troopers. We packed a lot into all the days that we were there and they were up to try anything. We even got Eden into the Haunted Mansion (a ride that would have made me cry even at the age of 7!) and Nem fell asleep in there!

While in Magic Kingdom, we all went to meet the princesses. Eden's favorite, "Princess Aurora" from Sleeping Beauty, was so nice and chatted with Eden and made her feel comfortable. Which is a good thing, because as soon as Eden saw the princesses she sort of went catatonic! She didn't quite know what to think. Here, Eden gets a hug from her. She was so happy, and still can't stop talking about it!This is how Nemmers reacted to seeing some of the Disney characters walking around! She just wanted to get up and grab them, touch their noses. If this picture had sound, you would be hearing squeals of excitement and urgent yells to get closer! In Epcot there is a big aquarium exhibit, and it's all Nemo themed. Nem couldn't wait to crawl into the sharks mouth, but Eden was a little more cautious. Check out our wild one!Papa showed Eden all the fish, dolphins, sharks, and turtles that populated the big aquariums. She was really impressed :)
We also went on a safari ride in Animal kingdom. Eden loved it, but Nem just passed out. On the Saturday that we were there, we had dinner in Cinderella's castle! The girls got dressed up and while they waited for us to get ready, Eden and Nemmie were too excited to sit still, they had to dance! Eden: can you believe she's eating a crown made of chocolate! At the wedding, Eden got to be one of Laul's flower girls. She was supposed to be in charge of little Kaleigh, but those two little girls had too much fun and decided to play during the ceremony :) Here she uses her flower as a wand!
Nemmers giving me some love during the ceremony. What a lovey girl.
We had so much fun, we didn't want to go home!!! (the lens wouldn't de-fog because it was so hot and humid and the camera had been in the air-conditioned hotel room all night)

*If anyone is on Facebook, Jason has uploaded ALL of our pictures from the trip to Disney on his page . . . if you are interested :)
